Mumblings

I totally forgot about this tumblr thing. I can’t believe this.

Well summer has been cool. I think it will continue to be cool. Being busy is cool. Having money is cool. Going to bed at 11 pm every night is not cool, but I think I can get over that uncoolness in order to achieve the other cool things. Life at the moment is cool.

snarkiest:

WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH SCENESTERS. How did you miss History Channel’s new show AX MEN?  Its about lumberjacks. REAL LIFE FLANNEL WEARING LUMBERJACKS. Theses guys chop down wood and fight with beavers for a living. They may not know how to apply eyeliner, but they sure as hell know how much wood a woodchuck chucks.

Get down to your roots. Not the origin of urban outfitters, but the true meaning of Flannel…and tune in.

18 Days. I haven’t kept up with my usual pace of one new post every other day simply because I haven’t been able to think of anything intelligent to write about. But maybe today’s will be at least okay. Not intelligent, just okay. There’s less than three weeks of summer left for me, which is makes me very happy.

Becca’s 21st birthday was yesterday. It’s been a fun couple of days celebrating her birthday, and we’re celebrating it with her friends again today. But I guess that’s how girls are. They have to ride that birthday wave for as long as possible, and I respect that. We went to Fridays Front Row at Miller Park and it was a bit eerie to be there on a non-gameday. I recommend it. It was a good time.

In other news I can’t wait for football season to start (sorry Becca). The way the Brewers just keep losing to bad teams makes me want football to come even more!

See, not really intelligent, but okay. That’s good enough for me.

23 days. So it looks like ex-felon and former Pro Bowler Michael Vick is on the Packer’s radar. Reports say that the Packers are having legitimate talks about signing Vick. This being my blog and all, now I am going to weigh in. Why not sign Vick? Have the Packer faithful already forgotten how bad Vick tore the Packers defense apart every time they played the Falcons? I don’t think I should even have to mention that Wild Card game where Vick single-handedly gave the Packers their first ever playoff loss at the legendary Lambeau Field.

Now I’m not saying Rodgers needs to be replaced by Vick. No no no no no. NO! Vick would be the back up. Rodgers did have injuries last year, and at one point was replaced by Matt Flynn. That being said, can you imagine the damage this guy could do in the wild cat with Brandon Jackson? Defenders will crap their pants, I kid you not. Not to mention they would get Vick dirt cheap if they signed him now. If they decide he’s not worth it, they can always cut the guy. Look at what they did with Koren Robinson a few years ago.

In other news, well, I’m out of intelligent things to write on here.

1 note

I read through that last post and realized that’s a bit too depressed sounding, so here’s a classic video to lighten the mood.

26 more days. This long abysmal summer finally appears to be coming to an end. I remember the good old days when summer vacation was the best thing that could ever happen. No more school, was there anything better back then? But this summer has been far from the best thing that could happen. Given the economy it has been tough for anyone to find work, especially me. Of course I could have gotten a job in that pyramid scheme selling knives, but I’m not too interested in participating in a scam or selling knives to people. So what is someone supposed to do all summer without a job? Well, that has been the million dollar question.

26 more days. That’s when I get to have a life again. Of course I’ll get to see my wonderful girlfriend every day again, but that’s not even it. Not being in school or at work really makes a person feel worthless, at least me anyways. Having to squeeze every penny and only use money on essentials doesn’t make things better. These have really been the worst three months I have experienced. But hey, it’s almost over.

26 more days.
